Texas stadiums are legendary for football thrills, but when it comes to grub, they're fumbling hard. A fresh study by TheLines.com scoured Google reviews from nearly 200 U.S. venues, revealing the Cotton Bowl in Dallas as the absolute worst for food nationwide. With a jaw-dropping 74.68% of food-related reviews venting frustration, fans are left more disappointed than delighted.

Out of 79 mentions, complaints piled up about bland tastes, sky-high prices, endless lines, and menus that barely exist. Only 14 reviews had anything positive to say, painting a picture of outdated concessions in this historic 1930 gem that seats over 92,000. Built in 1930, it's steeped in gridiron glory, but gourmet eats? Forget it—fans advise eating before you arrive.

Texas dominates the top 10 worst list, with SMU's Gerald J. Ford Stadium in University Park snagging sixth place at 64.29% negative vibes. Reviewers slammed "outrageous" costs and urged pre-game feasting. San Antonio's Alamodome ranks seventh with 60.83% gripes, while Houston's Rice Stadium ties for ninth at 60%, and El Paso's Sun Bowl lurks nearby.

The pattern is clear: Older stadiums like these lag behind, offering limited options that clash with modern cravings. In contrast, post-2010 builds shine with diverse vendors, quicker service, and fan-focused innovations. As expectations rise, these venues risk alienating crowds who want more than just the game, they demand satisfying snacks too.

TheLines.com's analysis highlights a broader trend: Satisfaction soars in newer spots, thanks to better infrastructure and variety. For Texas fans, it's a wake-up call, time to upgrade those concessions or keep hearing the boos. Next time you're heading to the Cotton Bowl, pack your own picnic; your taste buds will thank you.
